WHAT A PERFECT VENUE FOR THEATRE

Stunning Sandon Hall, in Sandon near Stafford, has been the ancestral home of the Harrowby family since 1776, when Nathaniel, 1st Baron Harrowby bought what was then a shooting lodge and had it transformed by the architect Samuel Wyatt into Sandon Hall.  It’s still a family home today, as well as being a well know Staffordshire evemts and wedding venue.

It’s especially terrific to see non-theatre venues in Staffordshire being used to stage and present professional productions.  So hopefully this productuion is well supported, and these wonderful alternative venues fmay be encouraged to programme even professional theatre.  The stunning Sandon Hall is cetainly a perfect fit for a gothic themed Sherlock Holmes theatre experience.  More please Sandon.  How about an annual festival of theatre?

WHAT’S THE SHOW ABOUT?

Set on the brink of the Great War, we see the remarkable detective on the cusp of retirement, and without Dr Watson.  However, a spate of mysterious deaths calls him to the Sussex Coast, whereat Sherlock must face one of the deadliest foes he has ever encountered…

Meanwhile, the late Professor Moriarty’s right-hand man, Count Negretto Sylvius, plots to avenge his master’s death by bringing about the downfall of the Baker Street sleuth!
