Theatre Company explore arts provision for young people with learning disabilities.

A theatre led conference to spark new thinking and meaningful change in work with young people with learning disabilities right across the arts sector.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A conference to spark new thinking and meaningful change in work with young people with learning disabilities right across the arts sector takes place at the Birmingham Hippodrome on 9 and 10 March 2016

Is That All There Is? is a two day event being led by Open Door Theatre Company and will explore arts provision for young people with learning disabilities.

In Birmingham alone there are 7,000 young people with learning disabilities. Extrapolate that to the West Midlands, and then to the whole of England. Individual arts organisations who specialise in work with young people with learning disabilities can only hope to scratch the surface…but imagine if the whole sector came together to offer quality, boundary-breaking work for young people with learning difficulties. Just think what an impact that would have.
